Let's go See the World!

Wanting to Study Abroad but do not know where to begin?? This quick "How To" will help you find the best study abroad program that works for you!.

Decide what you want to go abroad for.

This can be to a specific country, for a class, or a certain program. The best would be to choose a program that works with your college major or degree. Many Study Abroad programs offer major centric programs.

Then, Decide the length of time you would like to study for.

This can be anywhere from a week long trip to an entire year. Most programs have options that include month long trips, usually during the summer or winter vacations. The typical length for studying abroad is usually a semester or year long program. Finally, there are faculty led trips that then to be a week long.

After you get those decisions made, start your search for the right program.

There are several companies, organizations, and even universities out there that can help guide you. Talk to your Study Abroad Office and see if there are affiliate programs that offer discounts to you as a student, and if not, then search for programs I would recommend ISA Study Abroad since I did a month in Paris through them and they gave lots of guidance and were easy to work with. Another popular program is CEA Study Abroad and EF Tours, which offers those week long tours, faulty led trips, and honestly they give you the best experience for your buck!

Anyways! I hope this helps in choosing the best program for you! /ts
